Product Terms & Conditions

The following outlines Procountancy Ltd’s product terms and conditions for its two main product groups. Procountancy Ltd is a limited liability company registered in the Republic of Ireland. The company’s general terms and conditions, product-specific terms and conditions, privacy policy, and cookie policy are subject to the legal jurisdiction of the Republic of Ireland. These terms and conditions are automatically accepted upon purchasing any products covered herewith.

These terms and conditions have been split into three:
  • Course terms and conditions
  • Book terms and conditions
  • Account sharing terms and conditions

In all instances, Procountancy Ltd accepts no responsibility for damages caused by the use of information in its courses, books, website or manuals. Procountancy Ltd operates with professional indemnity insurance.

Procountancy Ltd is an education company, not a professional services firm. If you need advice on accountancy issues or tax advice, please contact an insured chartered or certified accountant for the relevant jurisdiction.

1.0 Course terms and conditions 

1.1 Definition
The specific products below are defined as “courses.”
  • Ultimate SCS course
  • Ultimate MCS course
  • Ultimate OCS course


All products labelled “courses” on Procountancy.com are deemed “courses” in this terms and conditions sheet. A purchase of one of these products is an automatic acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

“student” refers to any Procountancy customer who has purchased a “course”.

An “exam window” refers to the period over which an exam can be taken.

1.2 Access
Courses provide access to material relevant to a specific exam window.

For the CIMA case study exams, which the courses are created for, there are four exam windows per year:
  • November / February
  • May / August

Purchasing a course provides access to material relevant to the windows labelled on the course product page. Courses often cover two windows. Access to the course will continue until five days after the last exam date of the windows covered by the course. 

Example - Louis purchases the November 2024 / February 2025 course on 1 September 2024. This means that Louis will have access from 1 September 2024 to 26th February 2025. The final exam dates are based on the official dates published by CIMA in this link.

If you wish to extend your access to the course, you must purchase the next window’s course at the price advertised.

1.3 Definition
All courses come with a seven-day cool-off period. This means that you can cancel and get a full refund for any reason if you communicate your need for a refund to Procountancy Ltd within seven days of your course purchase. You can communicate this information using the site’s contact form or emailBeyond this cool-off period, there are no refunds.

1.4 Termination
Procountancy Ltd reserves the right to remove a student from a course for any reason. When this happens, the student will be notified and given a full refund for the purchase of their course. We reserve this right to ensure the safety and dignity of our tutors, staff, partners and student communities. Reasons for refunding do not have to be provided to the student.

1.5 Intellectual property
Access to a course does not allow any individual or corporation to
  • Repurpose
  • Download
  • Distribute, or
  • Share

information related to Procountancy Ltd’s courses. Access to a course allows the customer to enjoy the product, but the intellectual property sits with Procountancy Ltd.

Any repurposing, download, distribution or sharing without permission from Procountancy Ltd’s managing director will result in account termination with no refund and will also face the fullest legal and civil consequences possible. 
This clause covers screenshots and text-based information sharing from our courses on social media channels and discussion forums.

1.6 Complaints 
Complaints should be made directly to Procountancy Ltd’s Managing Director, Mr. Hugh Martin. Please email complaints directly.
Students can express their opinions of Procountancy’s courses on social media and discussion forums. However, defamatory statements against the company will be legally pursued to the fullest extent possible.

1.7 Tutor interaction
Some courses include tutor interaction. The course product page will indicate whether the course includes this interaction.
Interaction can arise from direct 1-1 interaction through email or the website’s community feature.

Tutors will aim to respond within 24 hours; however, this is not a guaranteed timeline, especially if a query is sent on a weekend. If the query is not replied to within four days, please report this to Procountancy’s Managing Director, Hugh MartinIf a student feels threatened, alarmed, or harassed by a tutor at any point, they should report this immediately to the company’s Managing Director, Hugh Martin.

If a member of Procountancy’s staff feels threatened, alarmed, or harassed by a student at any point, the case will be evaluated internally. If the situation arises from a student’s actions, the student may be issued a refund without reason or arbitration.

1.8 Mock feedback
Some courses include mock paper feedback. The course product page will indicate whether the course includes this feedback.
Mock exam feedback should be returned within 48 hours. There is no guarantee of this, though.

Where the time to receive mock feedback has extended beyond four days from the submission date, please get in touch with Procountancy’s Managing Director, Hugh MartinIf your mocks are not being returned fast enough, this is insufficient grounds for a refund.

1.9 Pass guarantees
No course offered by Procountancy Ltd guarantees a passing result. Procountancy Ltd is not responsible or liable if you do not pass your exam. A fail result does not create grounds for a refund.

2.0 Book terms and conditions 

2.1 Definition

  • Ultimate MCS textbook
  • Ultimate OCS textbook

All products labelled “books” on Procountancy.com are deemed “books” in this terms and conditions sheet. A purchase of one of these products is an automatic acceptance of these terms and conditions.

The term “student” refers to any Procountancy customer who has purchased a “book”.

2.3 Cancellation
All books come with a 7-day cool-off period. Queries related to the sale and accessibility of the book are valid and will be responded to within 48 hours of sending.

2.8 Mock feedback
Books do not include mock papers. Some books include sections that have questions and answers. 
Procountancy Ltd is not obligated to correct these questions for students or answer technical queries on them.

2.9 Pass guarantees
No book offered by Procountancy Ltd guarantees a passing result. Procountancy Ltd is not responsible or liable if you do not pass your exam. 
A fail result does not create grounds for a refund.

3.0 Account sharing

3.1 Account sharing
Sales of courses and books assume that the sale of one product is for one end user. Account sharing is strictly prohibited.“Account sharing” occurs when one account is being shared by multiple end users. If more than one IP address is being used simultaneously on a user’s account, that account will be terminated immediately, with no refund granted for the customer’s purchases.

If businesses or individuals, such as private colleges or exam-prep institutions, are found to be using Procountancy Ltd’s materials without a license to teach their students, they will forfeit any gross revenues generated from that course and any other courses that used Procountancy’s materials without a licence to do so. This amount will be sent to Procountancy Ltd upon receipt of the company’s ‘Corporate Forfeiture Notice’.

Failure to remit this amount will result in a €50,000 clawback fee against any company or individual using either the course or books to teach students without a licence issued by Procountancy Ltd.
3.2 Resale
No product offered by Procountancy Ltd can be resold without permission from the company. The sale agreement is with the end-user and that end-user only.
Any resale of Procountancy Ltd’s courses or books will result in account termination with no refunds.
